A dog will bite the first thing that he comes to, so this is a great tool to be able to put between you and the attacking dog. 
Our dog bite sticks feature a ball attached with a heavy-duty screw. It is designed to provide an alternative focus for the dog, rather than yourself. When using the stick, move with the dog instead of pulling it towards you; this will naturally cause the dog to move backwards. Ensure you guide the dog to a safe location while holding onto the stick, and do not release it until you are in a secure area. Although the ball may detach if the dog has an exceptionally strong bite, the stick still serves as a protective barrier between you and the dog.
